Wednesday 15 January 2025 - National closing date for primary applications (statutory).
Wednesday 16 April 2025 - Offers issued to parents
If you are considering St Peter’s for your child, please fill out the 'Reception Intake' form (which is at the bottom of this page) and we will contact you within 5 working days (term time only) to arrange a visit with Mrs Sullivan our Headteacher.

When children can start primary school
Children can start reception year at primary school from the September after their fourth birthday. However, by law children don't have to start school until the beginning of the term after their fifth birthday.
These are the dates that children would usually start school and when to apply for a school place:

Appeals
If you are doing an Admission Appeal it is now an E-Form that goes to Lancashire County Council: Appeal against an admission decision - Lancashire County Council
By law we must publish the dates on which appeals for September intake admissions will be heard.
These are provisional dates and are subject to change by LCC. Days could be added to or cancelled depending on the volume of appeals lodged and how the Independent Appeal Panel decide that they are to be conducted. (Please click the link for LCC up to date website)

Any appeals submitted after the deadline may be heard after all on time appeals have been heard.
An appeals officer will be in touch with you before the hearing date and will provide full details.
